Academic and Career Pathway Courses Online

Academic and Career Pathway courses allow juniors and seniors to take college courses while still in high school. Students may earn high school and college credit at the same time. These courses are known as dual credit or concurrent enrollment. Tuition assistance may also be available. For more information, check with your school counselor.

Students have the opportunity to take a sequence of courses leading to a college certificate, diploma, and degree. High school students commonly select from the Career Pathway courses listed below. Academic courses are also available online.

College courses are offered in a variety of formats: online, televised, lecture, lab or a combination. Students may participate at the high school with an approved instructor or at CCC campuses or centers.

If dual credit is of interest or need to a student, please let us know prior to registration of the course.

Students will complete an exam or provide scores from a previous ACT or MAP assessment when enrolling in MATH, CHEM or PHYS.

Before enrolling in a college course, students will create an account. They can do so by visiting www.cccneb.edu/createaccount.

Students wanting to take advantage of college will complete an Early College registration. For information and assistance, contact your school counselor or CCC representative.

Many of the courses taken at Central Community College will apply toward programs at CCC or transfer to other two-and-four year colleges and universities. For more information, visit  transfer.nebraska.edu

Admissions Checklist

• High school junior or senior and 16 years old can enroll in college courses.
• Create a CCC student account www.cccneb.edu/createaccount
• Provide ACT or MAP assessment as advised.
• Complete Early College registration form.
• Visit CCC Barnes & Noble College for textbook information or online at cccneb.bncollege.com
• Some college courses may not require the purchase of a textbook. Check with your school counselor/instructor before purchasing material.
