Analy is currently working on her Associate of Arts degree on the Columbus campus. She deeply appreciates the earth and all the life that it has to offer. She finds tranquility and belonging in nature. Analy believes that everyone should do their part to conserve and protect the environment.

In her free time, Analy enjoys going on walks, crafting, bonding with her family, collecting trinkets and going to cozy cafes and shops. She is very excited to learn more about sustainability and grateful for this opportunity to do so.

Lexi has always had a passion for wildlife and nature and is working towards a Conservation Biology degree. Lexi has spent some time in Costa Rica studying the native flora and fauna while working at a wildlife rescue center.

Outside of school, Lexi works full-time, owns a business, enjoys traveling, loves to read and spends time with family and her two huskies. Lexi is excited to learn more about the resources we use and how to conserve them. She believes one person can make a real difference and inspire others to do the same.

Driven by her commitment to environmental stewardship, Deandra brings strong scientific knowledge and practical problem-solving skills to her conservation work. She graduated from Central Community College in December 2023 with dual Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees.

Deandra’s goal is to restore and rebuild wildlife habitats, focusing on creating sustainable ecosystems that support native species and strengthen local environmental resilience.

Ash has been a sustainability professional since 2021. His unwavering commitment to sustainability makes him an inspiring role model for both his colleagues and the wider community, leaving a lasting legacy of beauty and environmental consciousness on this campus.

Madison has been making a significant impact as a sustainability professional at CCC since 2021. With a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, she brings a unique blend of scientific knowledge and a deep appreciation for the outdoors to her work.

Madison’s genuine love for the environment and its inhabitants fuels her drive to protect and conserve natural resources. Her unwavering commitment to preserving our natural world and her passion for the outdoors make her an invaluable asset in creating a more sustainable future.

After completing General Biology taught by her future supervisor, Elisabeth inquired about the Sustainability Internship opportunity, which has led her to develop a new love for environmental observation and education. She aspires to spend as much time as possible in the beauty of the outdoors, whether that be camping, gardening, walking, or exploring nature with other curious people. Through CCC, she works to gain her associate’s degree and expand her horizons as wide as the earth might allow.

Sarai is the president of Students 4 Sustainability and joined the club because of the opportunities it offers by protecting the earth’s valuable resources. She is currently working on transferring to the University of Nebraska-Omaha to pursue her bachelor’s degree in environmental science. She also wants to pursue a degree in entomology. She applied for a scholarship through the TRIO program and was selected to travel to Costa Rica to study more about the country’s biodiversity, topography, and sustainable practices.

Her life mission is to prevent the future extinction of all living things so that future generations can appreciate the wonders of all life on Earth. When she is at the pollinator garden on the Grand Island campus, she always sees new insects and is amazed by these little creatures’ beauty. In her free time, she enjoys roller-skating, forming friendships, making people laugh, and giving them a sense of belonging.

Navigating the ever-changing waters of climate action is no easy feat, but she knows CCC is one of the top 2-year sustainability offices! By utilizing her undergraduate background in Geography from Wayne State College and GIS systems, she works with the CCC Sustainability Office as a Sustainability Professional to help engineer new solutions as well as reflect on challenges in the past.

Illinois born and raised, she is an avid traveler that wants to see continuous positive changes in our treatment of renewable resources, ecosystems, and pollinators.  Sustainability is not just aimless preservation; it is focused intention that influences and affects us all.

From the campus gardens to statewide conferences, she finds herself drawn to a path spent outside and human connections that regularly have her either living in the library or traveling to an event center. She is currently studying at UNK to complete a literature and folklore focused graduate degree with the aim of encouraging and promoting a stronger reintroduction and knowledge of the folkloric to sustainable practices.

Lexi’s journey with CCC started as a student intern back in 2023, and by the time she graduated in May 2025, she’d already found her footing as an Environmental Sustainability Professional. She’s continuing her education at Bellevue University, with an eye toward a future working alongside environmentally focused nonprofits, bringing conservation and sustainability education directly into communities.

She uses creative ways to get people curious about sustainability. Whether it’s on campus or out in the community, she’s always chasing the next new angle for building interest and education around sustainable practices, because the “why” sticks a lot better than the “should.”

Outside of work, Lexi loves to travel and experience new cultures, new places, new environments. She always seeks out the local spots wherever she goes, convinced that’s where a place really shows itself. She hopes to one day see Antarctica, because she is drawn to new places that are unlike anywhere else.
