Missing Student Procedure

Central Community College is committed to your safety. This procedure outlines the steps taken if a student living in campus housing is suspected of being missing. It complies with federal requirements and ensures a prompt, responsible response.

Emergency Contact Information

If you live in on-campus housing, you will choose an emergency contact. This person will be notified if you are reported missing.

  • You choose who the College should contact within 24 hours.
  • Your emergency contact information is kept confidential.
  • If you are under 19 and not legally independent, CCC must notify your parent or guardian.
  • CCC will also contact local law enforcement within 24 hours.

When Is a Student Considered Missing?
