Performance Opportunities

The CCC Concert Band brings the campus and community together in a combined musical experience. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings. The ensemble consists of CCC students and local community members, including high school students. There are two on-campus performances each semester. Previous band experience is required. Those interested in joining should email [email protected]

Hilltop Percussion is a CCC student ensemble that meets twice a week during the day. The ensemble consists of students from many musical backgrounds, some who already play percussion, and some who simply have an interest in playing. Students learn how to read music and often co-create what they play. Previous music experience is required. Those interested in joining should email [email protected]

College Chorus is a large mixed choir. Rehearsing twice each week, the Chorus performs a wide variety of repertoire from all styles of music. Two performances are scheduled each semester. The Chorus is open to all students, and no formal audition is required.

Spectrum is a small select ensemble that focuses on music from all stylistic periods not generally suited for the larger choral ensemble. The group rehearses three times a week. Spectrum has performed twice at Carnegie Hall and will perform in Syros, Greece, in July 2015. Auditions are required.

Music events will be uploaded here soon!

More Information

Scholarships are available to all students regardless of major. The audition process is simple and can be done in person or via video. We know just the thought of auditions can be stressful, so our approach is centered around getting to know the student and setting them up for success. We are here to help and want students continue their passion for music in college.
