Two-Week Online Course Fulfills Education Requirement

Central Community College offers an online, two-week course that meets the Nebraska Department of Education’s (NDE) human relations training requirement. The requirement applies to all Nebraska educator permits or certifications, including local substitute permits.

The course, PRDV 1040 Human Relations Awareness, aims to provide an understanding of diversity in Nebraska and the United States. Participants are equipped with knowledge and strategies to advocate for PK-12 students and foster inclusivity in classroom communities.

Steps to Enroll

  1. Create an Account
    • When asked, make sure to list any former names you may have used in the past.
  2. Provide Your Plans
    • In the “Your Plans” section, select “Guest Student” or “Former CCC Student” if relevant.
    • Select the fall, spring or summer term for “I plan to start college in…”
    • Under “Primary Program of Interest,” select “Course Only,” with “Web/Online Only” as the location.
  3. Start Your Application
    • Start a new application for admission and select “Start an Application for the Selected Program.”
  4. Academic Plan
    • Select “Enroll Part-Time.”
    • Under “Program Option,” choose “Course Only” and a “Career Goal” of “Education.”
  5. You will receive an email with your next steps once your application has been processed.
  6. Call to Register.
