Bring a favorite piece of furniture back to life! Learn how to reupholster a simple chair or ottoman. You will build a wide range of techniques you can use on numerous projects. Discover which types of fabric best fit your needs, the proper tools and how to take off the old fabric for a fresh start. Conquer corners and curves to make a smooth surface, add tack strips for clean edges and embellish with stylish accents like buttons and nail head trim. Students should bring their project the first day of class. Required items: scissors, needle nose pliers, fabric, cushions and batting. Students may need to purchase additional tools if their project is more difficult; Steven will discuss this in the first class.
