Genesis is widely considered to be a book about beginnings, containing within it many unique stories that inform us about the Christian life and that make for good Sunday School classes. However, these stories are often studied in isolation from the larger narrative of scripture and from the literary and historical context in which they were written, causing readers to miss out on the theological goldmines within them. Moreover, many readers fail to grasp how these stories inform and anticipate the advent of Christ. This interactive lecture series will serve as a sequel to the spring class and will begin in chapter 18, endeavoring to give attention to these very things.
