This training will help participants become work-ready with hands-on welding experience and gear they can take directly to the job. Learn basic blueprint reading, safety, and how to set up, adjust and weld utilizing gas metal arc welders. This training is open to individuals out of high school. Steel-toed shoes are required.
What You’ll Receive Upon Completion:
The Central Community College Foundation and CCC received an anonymous donation to provide scholarships and program support to individuals both directly and indirectly affected by the closure of Lexington’s largest employer. In collaboration with the City of Lexington, area employers and agencies and the Nebraska Department of Labor, this scholarship is designed to help with retraining and educational expenses leading towards re-employment in the region.
Upon completion of the coursework, students can receive career placement assistance with CCC’s Career and Employment Services office.
