Advanced Manufacturing Training Series Section 2

Central Community College is offering an Advanced Manufacturing Series that provides a combination of lecture and hands-on learning to give students the foundational skills they need as a machinist. Section 2 will focus on these advanced skills:

CAD, March 16-18. Students will learn the basics of 3D modeling software, including how to sketch, make 3D shapes and assemblies and create their own blueprints.

CNC Mill, March 30-April 1, April 6-8 and April 13-15. During this nine-day class, students will delve into the world of CNC mills. They will learn multiple styles of programming, proper machine setup and operation, how to safely conduct themselves around the equipment, and gain confidence through many different hands-on machining exercises.

CNC Lathe, April 27-29, May 4-6 and May 11-13. During this nine-day class, students will delve into the world of CNC lathes. They will learn multiple styles of programming, proper machine setup and operation, how to safely conduct themselves around the equipment, and gain confidence through many different hands-on machining exercises.

Advanced Machining, May 25-27. This class teaches students about modern manufacturing techniques. From advanced fixturing to multi-axis and live-tool programming, they will gain knowledge and exposure to the complex machining strategies utilized in the ever-expanding world of machining.
