At Central Community College (CCC), you have important rights — and responsibilities — when receiving financial aid.

Understanding both helps you make the most of your college experience.

Know what federal, state and institutional financial aid is available to you.
Understand how financial aid works and how awards are determined.
Know when and how your financial aid will be paid to you.
Know the total cost of attendance at CCC.
Understand and follow the Return of Title IV Aid Policy if you withdraw from classes.
Know what portion of your aid is grant money that does not need to be repaid.
Know what portion of your aid is loan money, including:
- Interest rates
- Grace periods
- Repayment terms
- A sample repayment schedule
Know how much of your financial need has been met by CCC.
Know the requirements for continuing to receive financial aid.

You are responsible for:

Meeting all financial aid deadlines.
Submitting all requested documents and information to the Financial Aid Office on time.
Reading, understanding and keeping copies of all financial aid forms and messages.
Accepting responsibility for every agreement you sign.
Reporting major changes in your financial situation, such as:
- Death of a parent or spouse
- Divorce
Returning all requested financial aid forms by the assigned due date.
Knowing and following CCC’s refund policy and the Return of Title IV Funds policy.
Informing lenders if your name, address or enrollment status changes.
Meeting all Federal Work-Study job requirements, if applicable.
Applying for financial aid after October 1 each year.
Repaying all student loans according to the agreed terms.
Maintaining satisfactory academic progress at CCC.
