This program provides the skills and technical knowledge needed for a career in the machining industry as a mold maker, a tool and die maker, CAD/CAM designer programmer, machinist, or CNC machinist.

Job opportunities for machinists and tool and die makers should be excellent as employers continue to value the wide-ranging skills of these workers, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employers in certain parts of the country report difficulty attracting skilled workers and apprenticeship candidates with the abilities necessary to fill job openings.
