Medical Laboratory Technology

Medical laboratory technicians (MLT) are an important part of the health care team, processing and testing patient samples to detect the presence of diseases.

Most MLTs find employment in hospital, referral or public health laboratories, but this field of study also prepares graduates for employment in research, government and municipal laboratories.

The CCC Medical Laboratory program is located at the Hastings Campus. Graduates receive an associate of applied science degree and are eligible to take national certification examinations offered by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and the National Certification Agency for Clinical Laboratory Scientists (NCA).

Please see our online catalog for information about admissions and program requirements and course descriptions. Select the MEDT prefix to find courses in this program in the course filter.
