Admissions Checklist

Use the Admissions checklist below to guide you through the CCC admissions process.
  • Create your CCC Account 

    Creating an account will allow you to become more familiar with CCC. Once you create an account you can schedule a campus visit, register for an admissions event, or apply for admissions.

    Schedule a campus visit online or call the admissions office for an appointment. You can also meet with our financial aid staff during your campus visit.

    Complete an Application for Admission

    Log into your CCC account to complete the free online application. **Some programs require additional applications and/or have special requirements and deadlines for admission. Check with the admissions office of your choice for more information.

    Residency Status

    • In-State vs Out-of-State Residency: Students residing in the state of Nebraska for 180 days or more will receive in-state tuition. 
    • Midwest Student Exchange: Students residing in Kansas, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, & Wisconsin may be eligible to apply for a discounted tuition rate through the Midwest Student Exchange Program.

    Transcripts

    • Recent high school graduates (within the last 3 years) request your final official high school transcript be sent to CCC. If you have completed the GED, please submit a copy of your Certificate of Equivalency or test scores.
    • If you have taken prior college credit, request all official college transcripts to be sent directly to us. This ensures that appropriate credit will be granted for prior course work. These official transcripts may assist in placing you in appropriate classes toward success.

    Complete a Mandatory Pre-enrollment Assessment

    • Have your ACT (school code 6369) or Accuplacer scores sent to CCC.
    • If you would like to schedule an exam at any of the CCC locations, please call: 
      • Columbus: 402-562-1206, Grand Island: 308-398-7378, Hastings: 402-461-2424
    • ** Completing a pre-enrollment assessment is required to register for classes. Scores must be current from the last three years.

    Complete our general scholarship application and check with your guidance counselor about other community scholarships.

    Financial Aid

    If you are interested in financial aid, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) after Oct. 1. You can apply online at  www.fafsa.ed.gov or request the form from financial aid.

    Housing

    Indicate your interest in on-campus housing on your application for admission. If you wish to live on-campus in Hastings or Columbus complete the housing contract and submit a $150 deposit to secure your room and board. If you wish to cancel and get your deposit back, you must do so by June 1st.
